The governing bodies of the public joint-stock company “Jonavos Grūdai” are the General Meeting of Shareholders, the Board, and the Chief Executive Officer.

Shareholding structure:

  • 70.13% of the shares are owned by the State, via Ministry of Agriculture

  • 29.87% of the shares are owned by private individuals and legal entities

Management Board of JSC Jonavos grudai

The Board is a management body established in accordance with the Company’s Articles of Association. The activities of the Board and the election of its members are governed by the Law on Companies of the Republic of Lithuania, its implementing legislation, the Articles of Association of the public joint-stock company “Jonavos Grūdai”, and the Board’s Rules of Procedure.

In accordance with the Company’s Articles of Association, the Board consists of 6 (six) members. The Board elects its Chairperson from among its members. The Board is elected for a four-year term of office.

Members of the Board must meet the general and specific requirements established by applicable legal acts. The Company’s Board competency matrix is available.

 

On 24th of April, 2026, the General Meeting of Shareholders elected a new Board of the public joint-stock company “Jonavos Grūdai” consisting of 6 (six) members for a four-year term.

Mindaugas Bareišis

 Chairman of the Board, Independant Member 

Area of expertise: finance (management, analysis, audit)

 

Mindaugas Bareišis is a graduate of Vilnius University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Banking & Finance) and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management..

Has more than 10 years of experience in finance across audit, furniture, construction, and logistics businesses, as well as 15 years of experience in crop farming, livestock, and land management businesses within the Litagra Group, serving as CFO, CEO, and Board Member.

Experienced in corporate acquisitions, reorganizations, business development, and sale transactions.

Linas Lapinskas

Board Member, Senior Adviser to Legal and Human Resources Department, Ministry of Agriculture

Area of expertise: legal

Linas Lapinskas currently serves as Senior Advisor in the Legal and Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Agriculture.

He graduated with a Master’s degree in Law from Mykolas Romeris University and completed an internship with the European Commission’s DG Legal Service.

Linas Lapinskas has over 16 years of experience in addressing various legal issues, analyzing and drafting legislation, and representing clients in courts.

Rūta Pupkaitė-Jurgutienė

Board Member, Head of Budget Unit, Finance and Budget Department, Ministry of Agriculture

Area of expertise: management

Rūta Pupkaitė-Jurgutienė is heading a Budget Unit in Finance and Budget Department, Ministry of Agriculture.

She graduated in Economics from the Lithuanian University of Agriculture and holds a Master’s degree in Law from Vilnius University.

Rūta Pupkaitė-Jurgutienė has over 10 years of experience serving on the boards of state-owned companies.  

Irtautė Ščerbavičienė

Independent Member of the Board

Area of expertise: strategic planning and management

Irtautė Ščerbavičienė is a senior executive and professional board member with more than 20 years of experience in the finance, retail, and investment sectors.

Since 2021, she has been the founder and CEO of Brand One Ventures and its subsidiaries engaged in international trade.

Previously, Irtautė Ščerbavičienė served as Chief Operations Officer and Board Member at Maxima LT, as well as Board Member and Head of Business Development at Euroapotheca. Earlier in her career, she worked in investment banking, focusing on mergers and acquisitions.

She has more than 10 years of experience serving on boards and supervisory councils, including at ACC Distribution, Goindex, Maxima LT, and other companies.

Irtautė Ščerbavičienė graduated from the Executive MBA program at Baltic Management Institute in 2018 and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Stockholm School of Economics in Riga in 2003.

Tomas Urbonas

 Member of the Board, Head of Grain Procurement in UAB „Agrokoncerno grūdai“

Area of expertise: the industry sector in which the Company operates

 

Tomas Urbonas graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from the Lithuanian University of Agriculture.

He has 20 years of experience in the agricultural sector. Tomas Urbonas has extensive experience coordinating the grain procurement process and leading the grain procurement team at UAB “Agrokoncerno Grūdai”, overseeing and managing the reception and primary processing (drying, cleaning, and sorting) of grains at procurement sites. He possesses in-depth knowledge of the grain logistics chain and its management.

Rita Vinciūnė

Independent Member of the Board

Area of expertise: finance (management, analysis, audit)

Rita Vinciūnė graduated from Kaunas University of Technology in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and from Vilnius University in 2020 with a Master’s degree in Business Economics and Corporate Financial Management.

Since August 2024, she has been serving as Director of Finance and Strategic Management at Registrų centras. From February 2022 to July 2024, Rita Vinciūnė held the position of Chief Financial Officer at AB Linas Agro.

From May 2017 to May 2023, she served as Chief Executive Officer of AB Mėsa and has been a Member of the Board of the company since May 2017.

Previously, from May 2013 to February 2022, Rita Vinciūnė was Director of the Finance and Accounting Department at Biovela Group. From January 2008 to December 2013, she worked as Finance Manager at KG Group / AB Kaišiadorių Paukštynas and AB Vilniaus Paukštynas.

 

Chief Executive Officer

 

Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Darius Karpavičius, has held this position since 11th of October, 2021. Darius Karpavičius graduated in Economics from the Lithuanian University of Agriculture, earning both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree. He has over 20 years of experience in the grain processing and trading sectors. For more than 10 years, he has led grain trading and elevator businesses, and for 3 years, he has managed fertilizer production/trading and agricultural products trading businesses.
